Already got my copy of Birdy thanks to HMV <3

Casshern Sins for next week, and the yet undecided decision of Xam'd.

Why is it always Birdy The Mighty Decoder on this site?

Because it was typoed once in the database and everything inherited that. I thought I caught it though last week; have you seen it more recently (did Nef ninja-fix his post?).

Birdy arrived a couple of days ago. Anyone else notice an issue with the dub? The English dialogue is mixed much lower than the Japanese, such that I have to significantly increase the volume on my TV just to hear what the characters are saying... then turn it back down again when the action kicks in.

Yup it's all fixed thanks Rui! I picked up on the typo when I added the review but I forgot to mention it at the time.

I hope more people pick up BOTI it's an underrated show IMHO.

Nope. I didn't notice any issues, and I assume the review copy should be identical to the retail version (apart from the packaging), so maybe you've got a faulty copy??

A rare decent week for cover art. I will be paying more attention next week with Xam'd, though, I keep meaning to buy that show and... not doing it.

Hopefully Xam'd on bluray does not flop!

Ordering Birdy during Friday as its one show i've been looking forward too :)

For what it's worth, I have Blu-ray check discs for both Part 1 and Part 2 of Xam'd.

I was only ever sent Part 1 of Casshern Sins on Blu to review.

This probably increases the likelihood that Manga will see this release through.

I found a review of the UK release that mentions the same problems I'm having. I switched over to Japanese with subtitles, so now all I have to contend with is Madman's ugly subtitle font. Well, that and the show is actually pretty rubbish (high school setting, mehhhh) apart from the animation.

As for Xam'd, I can't help but fear for the BD sales. I plan to get it at some point but not on release as the summer schedules (R1 & R2) are too packed.
