Well looks the speculation is finally over. The new Gundam series to be shown later this year will be called "Gundam AGE", i assume with "mobile suit" before that but it is not mentioned in the article with the title.

Sounds like an interesting concept being set during the 100 year war between Earth and a mysterious attacking enemy while following the adventures of a single family line. Seems each generation has the title Gundam the Gundam AGE - 1 passed down to them, with some modifications each time. Seems to also talk about a Striker pack/Force Silhouette type equipment series with the Gundam AGE- 1 Titus for power and Gundam AGE - 1 Sparrow for speed.

Not so sure about the art style. Seems a lot of people are being put off it already at this early stage feeling that perhaps it is being aimed at a younger age group this time. Still shouldn't rush to conclusions after a single set of promotional posters. The new Gundam looks interesting, sort of Exia, RX-2, 0 gundam hybrid. More information to come from a live streaming press conference on 13th June. Here is hoping for some greater detail on the plot or some information on the voice talent involved.

Even if it ends up not being to everyone's taste at least we have 3 more episodes of Gundam Unicorn to come.

But, as it happens, this one does, as you can see in the Japanese.

Looks like it's going to be ****, I love Level 5 as game devs, but they sure do seem as interested as possible in making money out of the lowest age bracket possible these days.

bloody hell how many gundams are there anyway i know gundams popular but im guessing it'll be like the other gundams, by the way can someone tell me exactly how many gundam series and movies there are anyway

Eh, wait and see. I'm not thrilled with the character designs, but then again I wasn't thrilled with the mech designs for Turn A and ended up loving the series, so...

That Gundam looks like it's easy to snap and the characters aren't the most favourable designs... I'm not sure about this myself. Still gotta watch Unicorn before this. :p

Koji Kabuto is the undisputed king, there's no denying it.

Okay, so Uso Evin didn't have sideburns. But he had a bowl cut. This guy's hair is nowhere near unfashionable enough.

There was nothing left of Australia by the end of the ONE year war.

Oh yes - I've seen Stardust Memory!

ZING!

Already I am saliviating over the prospect of a new Gundam series, though guessing from my username, that's probobly an understatement.

Still... first impressions: Looks for a younger audience as previously mentioned. Maybe they're trying to go down the G Fighter route again... less serious this time around.
After all, the last three were Wing-Dark n' Moody. SEED-Morality tale. 00-Emo' time.

Ok I'm generalizing there and yes, you can argue the toss, but I think the change of tone can't be all bad.

I suppose it don't matter at the end of the day: I still can't afford to get 00 series two yet anyway.
