Neon Genesis Evangelion New Era Caps?!?!?!

They will made new Eva everything just like they did with the old series and all its spin offs. From dinner plates to condoms you can guarantee they'll release an Eva version of it.

This is the thing I hate about Eva. The original series was sincere but it grew to unexpected popularity, cue the obscene merchandising, sequels, remakes, retellings, spin off manga and so on. Who gives a **** anymore as long as it makes money.
 
Caps are nothing compared to the eva-01 outfit for dogs and evangelion apartments(no joke).Looks like Anno and co. will be milking this cash cow for years to come :roll: .
 
Not to mention Eva Doritos and canned coffee.

At least Eva merchandise is a handy way for fans to identify each other on the street, so universally recognised is the show. I myself sport a small white badge adorned with the Nerv logo.

Evangelion apartments? I remember seeing estate agents plastered with pictures of the eva girls in tokyo but i thought they were just to get attention are they actually eva apartments?

Apparently they were for an appartment block that was similar to the one that shinji lived in in the series,but some rooms were modeled after the characters.For instance,there were some based on Misato and Shinji's place and others on Rei's.

In the realm of Eva merchandise I have a Nerv logo mug,A couple of the revoltechs and a chibi Rei from the Eva@School series.

Really not seeing the point there, that is unless they make your bath go red and Kaworu's face bubbles up on the surface..

Eva will always be whored out to the max, that's unlikely to change. It's a baffling contradiction between the series' personal themes and the impersonal nature of merchandising, but so long as people buy it, it seems they'll flavour anything with NGE.
