Neon Genesis Evangelion - Box Set

I'm looking for the 'best' set of NGE now am i correct in thinking the tin one has been remastered, also is this supposed to be in 4:3 or 16:9? so if you guys point out the best one out of these

The 'Perfect Collection' is an eight volume set with low video quality. The Platinum re-releases come on seven DVDs and include the remastered episodes, looking much better and far less shaky. I'm pretty sure the audio was also improved. Both are in the original 4:3 aspect ratio.

Amazon had the tin set for only £42 until a week or so back. Unlucky.

If there is a Zavvi near you, it may be worth popping in between now and when (and if) the shops close for good. You may find it cheap. Or any other anime come to that.

Try your luck at buying all the individual volumes on ebay. It might take a month or so, I got mine, individual volumes, platnium, for about £3 each volume (x7 = £21, not bad). I still haven't got all of them, though. Which proves it takes some time for them all too come on; It could be months, or it could just happen that one person comes on and sells his lot in a day.
