Short for North East Manga & Anime CONvention (NEMACON), will revolutionise that! NemaCon and Animeleague will be working together to change the face of anime in the North forever! It will be an event of up to 1,000 people! The event is for ages 14 and up!

POSSIBLE COSPLAY BALL FOR NEMACON ON FRIDAY 18TH!

We are still working out the logistics, but we should be running a NemaCon Cosplay Ball on the Friday evening and night! The event will be 18+ (unlike NemaCon itself which is 14+) and will cost just £10. More details and a website to go up about this!
 
Where's the new Middlesbrough chaos? :p

Nice to see more happening in the North. They look to have gotten a few sponsors on board as well. Promising stuff. Unsure if I can go at this point in time, but I'm familiar with Middlesbrough and am not far away.

What's not so promising is that Middlesbrough is spelt wrong in their press release (no O before the R, it's pronounced Middles-bruh rather than Middles-burah). I'm aware this level of pedantry is probably unexpected coming from me, but where my town of birth and the football team I support come into it, things change. ;)
 
I'm shocked someone is actually setting one up here! I'll have to get some tickets for it.

More than likely but they're taking suggestions on the forum, they do show some good films when it comes to events like the Animex festival.

If they do pick some good ones and not just Ghibli ones I just might stay in the cinema that weekend.

Weel, this event is organized by anime fans, while they might try to get Ponyo, I believe they would put up the effort to get something different as well.
I hope I'm right anyway.

Haha, I'm 100% sure that I won't cosplay (I'm not a cosplayer :p)

Normally i wouldn't but i have pretty persistent friends :p but it's also going to be nice to meet more anime and manga fans around here

Hah that would be funny, i've been saying that next time the Download festival comes up we actually take a parmo truck up there. I mean they have all other food types there but not one of them? that needs changing ;)

To Kebabish then! Their parmos are pretty big and they have drink refils for the wusses that can't take the taste, which is most likely knowng the people eating them that don't live in Teesside.

It'd definitely be good to meet more anime fans around here.
