Most Epic Anime Music Ever

I was wondering, what is the most epic Anime background music you have ever heard? I'm not talking openings or closings, I mean music that plays while the action is taking place. Personally, I have 3 favorites. The Super Saiyan 3 Ascension Theme from the American dub of DBZ, Struggle Of Sadness from Yu Yu Hakusho and Number One from Bleach.......Shonen always have the most epic music imo:p
 
So we're talking epic action background music rather than any background music?

Evangelion and Gunbuster's action themes have always been my favourites. I'll try and hunt down titles, but it may take a while.

maybe not the most epic tune, but certainly one of them.
 
Probably most of the music from Cowboy Bebop will be the general consensus.

Personally i thought Tenchi Muyo had an epic soundtrack. Macross plus was also good, but again that was Kano's handywork.
