After forum regular Valha alerted us to this news last night, we fired off an e-mail to MVM and can now confirm that both Lunar Legend Tsukihime and Paranoia Agent will have UK art-boxes, limited to 1,000 copies each. No release dates or prices have been mentioned yet, so we will be sure to update you when these appear online for pre-order.

Also, we have uploaded the MVM DVD cover-art for the June-bound Texhnolyze #1 and Gungrave #2.

Well, I'm sure we can all agree this is great news for UK anime fans. I like the fact they are limited to 1,000 copies too, it shows that MVM are playing it safe but also willing to support their current fanbase.

And I wish Texhnolyze was getting a UK art-box. I really love that series but it looks like I will have to import the first volume to get the awesome ABe artwork scrawled across the box.

i was ocer the moon when the MVM guy said this at the con. cant wait to get them :). i also want to know more so i can preorder i dont want to preorder the wrong one.

tho it sounds like it will just come with vol 1 so it will be the same price and at the same time (thats what MVM told me anyway).

Hum id love it if they released the Gungrave artbox with volume 7 or something, that thing is so so cool!

Its definatly a good sign that they've started doing things like this

While it is good MVM are doing these artboxes. I personally would prefer them to start doing Inserts/artwork inside the cover or reversible covers on all their releases , over boxes.

Good news and hopefully these boxes will be as good in quality as their US counterparts. Limited too! which makes 'em extra collectable.

Well that would certainly be a step in the right direction :D

Yep, yep, this is true, but as mangaminx said, it would be nice to have insert booklets and things aswell, i always feel the cases are so empty....but then most of the ADV releases i've got recently have been the same

They should do like ADV did with NGE Platinum, that has a booklet in each volume with pictures and facts about the series in it.

the art boxes do interest me, but the downside is, is that both of these series, im not interested in them.

if it was for something like Tecxnolyze, or something else like.... errrrr.... 'Ikkitousen' (oh the fan service !... my eyes.... they burn!!!! :!: LOL)

but its still good to hear MVM, are baking the UK market with quality items.... lets just hope, other title also get the same treatment.......something like Samurai Champloo, would be a very good idea.

if they did box sets of something like love hina or serial experiments lain that would be good. i'm not too worried about the box/slipcase itself, but releasing series that way makes it quite a bit cheaper than getting them separately. little extras like pin badges and plushies do sound cool though.

I wouldn't mind seeing bonus items packaged into bigger releases, alot of ADVs artboxes stateside include t-shirts and some even contain the first volumes of the accompanying manga, it's a nice idea and I would definitely buy them.
