Metropolis airs on Channel 4

Channel 4 will be airing the Katsuhiro Otomo directed anime movie Metropolis at 4:10 a.m on the morning of Sunday 30th October. Thanks to forum regular Ryo-Chan for spotting this.

Thats good even if it is on that early. I got the DVD a while ago tho so thankfully I wont have to get up that early to see it.

Just a minor alteration, the film is apparently airing at 4:10am , not 4:15

While it's great to see anime on Terrestrial TV, the timeslot baffles me.

A large percentage of the anime fans I converse with seem to suffer from insomnia in one form or another , so perhaps that 4.15am time slot proves CH4 know their target audience better than we think.

In all seriousness that scheduling does leave alot to be desired, still Metropolis is a truly beautiful piece of science fiction and well worth staying - or should that be waking - up for.

I shall be using the magic of the video recorder to tape the movie without having to get up ...of course with the hour changing I'll probably mess up but I can always rent the DVD at some point if that happens.
