Mana Khemia: Alchemists of Al-Revis

As the title suggests this is a new game based around using your alchemy abilities, this was just a recent release from the end of March and is produced by NIS America and devolved by Gust, yes you guessed it the same people that created the Atelier Iris series. For any one that's not sure of these series look here.
Using their same engine, and turn based battle system the game play flows quite like Atelier Iris 3 though I think it's at a closer, at a different perspective.

The story tells of a long guy that lives at home with his cat in isolation, until one day he's invited to Al-revis a school for teaching alchemy. I won't say to much as I don't want to spoil it, theres little information that I've been able to gather on it,

but check out the main webpage here

There's unassurance on whether or not that the game will be available in the UK, but if I have any speculation it is most likely going to be Koei that could be realesing it later this year ^.^

I imported this one on the US release, so that'd be about two months ago now and still haven't got round to playing it though everything I've heard has been really encouraging - even people who didn't much care for the Atelier series have been praising this one so that can only be a good sign.

Looking forward to getting to grips with this one over the next few weeks once I've finished Lost Odyssey - really interesting in seeing how the synthesis system works out for this one and I'm intrigued to see how its been used in conjunction with 'leveling up' the characters abilities.

I really like this series, but they release them so quickly I gave up hope of being "a fan" after I got stuck on the first game.

Read the review of this on Gamespot and it looks awesome. I'll give it a few months to see if we get a release over here, if not it's eBay time.
