The Boss
"We met, for each of us to start off.

Takao was skipping high school, sketching shoes in a Japanese garden, trying to become a shoemaker, when he encounters a mysterious woman, Yukino. Without arranging it they end up meeting again and again, only on rainy days, deepening their relationship and opening up to each other. But the end of the rainy season soon approaches...

Makoto Shinkai brings his newest work, a spectacle of visual-literature for the digital age!

The film will opens in Japan on May 31. And following Shinkai's previous films record, we at AUKN expect the film to hit our shores either on the big screen or in DVD / BD format in due time.

From Press Release.

I saw this yesterday "https://www.facebook.com/cwfilms?fref=ts" and stayed awake until now just to get the press release =) Loved the trailer, really anxious about this now.

Wow i,m really looking forward to this,the trailer was just simply a thing of beauty,breathtaking even and that was just a small trailer,the actual movie is going to be fantastic.

Mmmmmm... so looking forward to this, looks beautiful from the trailer. And I really want to see this on the big screen, hopefully the BFI will have a screening, as they've done with his other movies.

Personally i dont like anime love stuff but Makoto Shinkai is just good in what he does and so are his movies. Looking foward to see this one.

Précis of The Garden of Words:

NEIGHBOUR: I say, those past participles are doing well this year!
GARDENER: Thank'ee kindly. They've been perfect this time 'round, so they have, and none of 'em came out irregular.

End.

I dont know if it was posted somewhere else but the japanese bd/dvd will have english subs. The dvd verson is not very expensive, i thought it could be worse. Even the BD one is not that expensive for a japanese release i guess.

Having watched the trailer 12 or so times now, I get no less of a tingly feeling than I did on first viewing. There is little I am looking forward to more.

Indeed yes.

Hopefully, after the slightly disappointing Journey to Agartha, this will be a return to the 'epic landscapes, tons of trains and lashings of angst' category :wink:
I will accept his replacement of trains with feet, for now. ^^;
