Lovely Complex

I went back a few pages in this forum and the General Anime Discussions one but couldn't find a Lovely Complex thread and thought I'd make one. Sorry if there is one already but I did look!

It started airing in April but it took AGES for anyone to Sub it! They are up to episode 8 now I believe. It's a Romantic Comedy about a tall girl (Risa Koizumi) and a short boy (Atsushi Otani). I do love thsi anime, I think its very very funny and the characters are pretty superb but then again I am a sucker for High School Rom Com Shoujou Anime!

I like the fact its dealing with this whole height issue. Tall girl and small boy. I've never seen that in an anime so its a bit of a twist I guess! Otani and Risas friendship is pretty real, I'm sure I act like that with some of my friends! I like they are reffered to as All Hanshin Kyojin. This ain't the best of reviews but i don't want to give anything away!

But I know people who hate Shoujou Anime but love this one! It really is full of surprises! I do recommend it :D
 
I am loving this series, to the point where the moment I get an episode I have to watch it straight away.

The relationship is very ahhhhh, and it feels real, like thats how you'd talk to your friends. Currently drooling over episode 9 now that Otani has finally figured out that Risa likes him.

I love the fact that its from the girls point of view, so many animes concentrate on the males perspective showing how he feels about the girl and how she rejects him or doesn't realise whats going on, this has a good twist to it.

Highly recommended from me too
 
I've already commented on this anime before, but I'll say it again. I think the characters are boring and one-dimensional, the entire anime is cliche and not funny in anyway, and it's just not fun to watch, and I found myself getting annoyed at how they're managing to drag this tripe out to however many episodes it will end up being (does anyone know the exact number?), because it seriously could have ended in 1 or 2 episodes.
 
This was a series is wasn't going to watch at first but I thought I would give it a try and it quickly became my favourite series of this season.

That's a problem I'm having with most new anime nowadays. I haven't seen it, but sola seems to be guilty of similar things. A lot of people seem to be watching it so I'll give it a look at some point to see if it really is worth it.

See it just needs you to let it into your heart and you are hooked..... sorry to hear Doberman doesn't like it but no anime gets a 100% likeability rating
