welcome here an why not give ROD or 12 Kingdoms a try? I second others on Witch Hunter Robin, Le Chevalier D'eon, Samurai X, Samurai Champloo, Samurai 7 and I'd add Shura no toki.
Shura no toki is a historical piece about a family trained who face several historical figures in feudal Japan such as Musashi and Jubei Yagyu.
ROD is a different series, about a secret agent known as "The Paper" who is searching for rare books. Sounds weak? Yes, it seems so, but it's really good.
12 Kingdoms is simply the best fantasy anime ever.

Yeah, Read or Die is awesome. It's a mash of great action, a lively soundtrack and a decent story to hold it all together. It's kinda like if James Bond has massive boobs... oh wait, Daniel Craig does have man tits bigger than most of the Bond girls so yeah it's like Bond in a dress. If you enjoyed Cowboy Bebop it's one to really check out and it's dirt cheap too.
