Didn't the BDX1200 have some issues? Can't remember what exactly.
I believe that like myself, AF has a BDX3200, so is going down to a 1200 worth it?
Is there not anything more modern and smaller which can be unlocked? I must admit I'm slightly interested too, although I don't see my 3200 breaking anytime soon.

Any model will do as long as I can unlock it.

I thought to my self if my bluray brakes down I'm be f***** so I thought yeah it's a good idea to have a extra one on stand by you know

Im not sure about any problems the player may have had. However I have had mine for over 3 years now and haven't had one problem with it.

Why not wait to see if/when that happens, THEN buy one rather than wasting the money now?
I fail to see the reason in buying another one in case the 3200 breaks. That's like saying you want to buy another TV in case your current one breaks.

Yeah but it's always a good idea to have a extra just in case or two

Re: looking for a new bluray player and it has to be unlocka

I got my BDX-1200 when they were on clearance at Richer Sounds and getting rare. That was this time two years ago so....

The 3200 is newer but last I looked - and that was a while ago - it wasn't (readily) available anywhere new online.

Re: looking for a new bluray player and it has to be unlocka

I need help does anyone here know if LG BP125 Blu-ray and DVD Player is unlockable cause I'm thinking of buying it but I need to make 100% sure it is unlockable and what I need to do to unlock it, I can get one at Argos for around 50 but there's another site the sells it for 150 and the site says it is unlockable but I'm not sure, I need help http://www.mrmdvd.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=159

Re: looking for a new bluray player and it has to be unlocka

Multiregion Magic unlock Blue ray players by doing hardware modifications, that's why they cost more than just buying it from Argos. The one from Argos will be regionlocked because it won't have the chip in to make it Multi-Region, and you'll have wasted your money.

Re: looking for a new bluray player and it has to be unlocka

I have a LG BP125 and it is NOT possible to unlock it yourself. The more expensive version which claims to be unlocked will have been modified with some extra circuitry inside, which is not something LG will have approved. This will almost certainly have voided the warranty and I have no idea if it actually works or not. It's a shame really because the it's a great little player.

Re: looking for a new bluray player and it has to be unlocka

Well I guess I'm get that then thanks guys.

It's like I always say always keep a second one extra, iv got a DVD player and bluray player but I want a extra bluray just in case and if one of them brakes down ok buy a new one, good plan right

Knowing me I'd probably screw up without help

The extra cost on MRM is for the modifications to the player that makes it region free, so the standard player is unlikely to be able to be made region free for DVD and blu-ray (it's possible for the DVD side, but not for the BD side without the modification).

Re: looking for a new bluray player and it has to be unlocka

Looks like you may be able to soft mod the DVD region, but the BD region needs a hardware mod.
