Planetes is a solid but uninspiring series. It puzzles me when I try to understand why it's so loved. The rubbish collection angle isn't interesting, and the standalone episodes that tie into that side are more often than not boring. There's a fairly awful filler episode where people dress up as ninjas a on a space station and jump around. The Genshiken style group chat parts weren't handled very well, leaving me not caring about the side characters. The 'love vs. dream' stuff is as cliched as you can get and, because of the series focusing on the space stuff, I never found myself caring very much.
I put the series on-hold after four discs, changing my rating from 8 to 7.

it was very annoying the actual ending was unexpected and rather original i'll give it that
ps the ninja bit is awesome one of the more interesting eps
I actually give the whole bout an 8 it was an original take on this kinda thing I enjoyed it I just wanted someone to talk to me

Sure I can. On the internet, it's easy to judge a person by what they say as there's nothing else. If you see enough people act a certain way, it's easy enough to know if they're going to be another idiot or not.
You turning straight to the basic "Get a woman!" and "...no life..." insults highlights I was right about your brain power. I'm awaiting an attempt at using a momma joke soon as you're running out of ammo. Do yourself a favour and just give up.

Ok, I'm going to close this thread as whatever it has become has nothing to do with the original purpose and it's just a slanging match. Feel free to remake it if you're still interested in the original topic and hopefully the next version will manage to stay free of the derailments.
