Last exile or Tenchi Muyo?

Okay, I'm torn between two anime. I love watching the last exile trailer on my chrono crusade, But I really want to see Tenchi muyo again, as I loved the anime ages ago along with Dragonball z.

But, I want your advice. Last exile or Tenchi muyo.

Seriously though, if you got the money for Last Exile buy it and leave Tenchi which you have alread seen til after Exile.

I am a huge Tenchi fan and have all the series, ovas and movies (except the weird Magical Girl ones) and I have watched them over and over again many times and they get better everytime I watch them, particularly the first series and GXP which always makes me laugh.
 
if you have the money, get last exile now and wait till the end of the year for tenchi, when funi finally finish releasing the 3rd OAV lol


it all depend on which tenchi you want

the OAV would be the best bet, followed by Universe then GXP

however i'd suggest staying as far away as possible from Tenchi in Tokyo
 
As a Tenchi fan I'm going to go with everyone else and say leave off Tenchi for now since you've already seen it, you can get it later.

Oh, and I hate GXP. Tenchi in Tokyo is pretty bad too but it gets better in the second half. I've got the OAV's and Universe in any case.

I still rate it higher than Tenchi in terms of quality. From character design to music to the storytelling.

Tenchi has the honour of having some of the ugliest character designs.
 
If you want light hearted (and headed) fun go for the Tenchi OAV's. Thay are simple fun and my only gripe is they are looking slightly dated now (and they go nowhere but its a harem anime). Last Exile is beautiful, requires thought and lots of paittience.... pactienc.... that thing where you have to wait. Can't talk about the ending haven't seen it yet.
 
As everyone knows (okay...most people know) Last Exile is my favourite anime so I am completely biased, but as my profile does say, it is an absolute stunning series, and I still am looking for a series to top this and I haven't yet found it. Last Exile really is that good.
 
For no other reason than the money go with Tenchi. Tenchi [OVA] would set you back about £40 online, while you could end up forking out upwards of £15 a disc for Last Exile.

Plus i didnt really like LE.
 
why are people moaning about charater designs FFS

Tenchi was made in the early 1990's compaired to the 2000's for last Exile of course it's not going to look as pretty as the later lol

That's like Comparing Getto Robo with Ghost in the Shell SAC

Really? I managed to get each DVD for £5.99 after looking around. Volume 7 was £3! Bargin.
