After 7 days of teasing and 1 day of its tease being leaked by ironically Japan themselves, Koei Tecmo have announced Omega Force's new video game - Attack on Titan - for the PlayStation formats (PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita). The game's details are very minimal but we do have a teaser trailer and a confirmed year date for its release as well as releases in Europe and North America confirmed.

KOEI TECMO IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE DEVELOPMENT OF ACTION TITLE BASED ON FAMED ANIME SERIES ‘ATTACK ON TITAN’!

Cologne, 5th August 2015- Koei Tecmo Games is pleased to announce today a collaboration with Kodansha to develop and publish an exciting new action title, based on highly acclaimed worldwide anime hit series ‘Attack on Titan’!

Hisashi Koinuma, President of Koei Tecmo Games and head of the "Attack on Titan" game project comments:
"I am very happy to reveal we have started developing a new action game based on the phenomenally successful "Attack on Titan"! Having evolved from a manga/anime series to an internationally recognised brand, we were enchanted by the opportunity to create our own take on humanity’s last stand against these overwhelmingly powerful beings, the Titans.

Although there is still a long wait until this game is released in 2016, our studios are already pouring all of their passion and excitement into it and we hope to reveal more information soon!

In the meantime, prepare for battle! The Titans are coming."

The yet-to-be-named game is being developed by Omega Force and is currently planned for release in 2016 in the west.
More information on the title will be made public in the coming weeks.

The game will be released sometime in 2016.

Trivia: The trailer dictates the game would be rated 16 by PEGI. The 3DS game released in Europe earlier this year ended up with an 18 rating.

I wonder if it will actually be called Attack on Titan this time in Europe. IIRC they had to use the Japanese name in Europe last time. Also, I imagine that PEGI is provisional. If they haven't even got a title yet I don't think it's close to being rated by any board.
