JManga Available Worldwide

AnimeNewsNetwork is reporting that the legal manga website JManga is now available worldwide (although some titles are currently not). Between 1st-4th March, people who sign up for a paid subscription will receive twice as many points to use.

While you can preview manga with a free account, having a $10 or $25 dollar monthly subscription allows you to buy digital manga (Manga is purchased with "points"; the difference in the price of your subscription indicates how many points you will receive).

Morita-san wa Mukuchi not being available in the UK has made me sad. Especially as "Buy in Print" link directs to Amazon.co.jp...not very helpful xD

JManga.com, the first official and legal platform for reading manga online in the west recently announced that the portal website is now accessible worldwide. In celebration of this event there is a promotion lasting until the 4th of March which allows fans to sign-up to the site for a paid subscription and receive twice the regular amount of bonus points.

Prior to this announcement JManga was only available in the United States and Canada but now the site can now be accessed internationally so fans around the world can enjoy classic manga from Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru to Crayon Shin Chan.

Shame that Morita-san wa Mukuchi, which would have been a decider for me signing up, is unavailable. Looking at the entire catalogue (Even those that are unavailable), only Crayon Shin Chan appeals to moi.

But the whole idea of me having to sign up to a monthly subscription just to be able to be given points to buy stuff is silly to me. I guess they must need the money from memberships upfront to persuade licensors then; instead of just letting people buy titles without needing to sign up.

It's simple; I hate being treated like a third class citizin based on my geological location.

And I chose to healthily unleash that hatred by means of economcialy punching companies in the balls and proclaiming as much for such transgressions.

There are three things that are putting me off going for this:

1) The fact that some manga won't be available in Britain.

2) There doesn't seem to be much in the way of choices that interest me.

3) I like to hold the book I'm reading. I like to hold the text. I think I might go for it if it were available on some sort of reader device but it is harder to read a computer screen than words on a printed page.

The Reader is spot on most definitely, I can't fault that at all apart from lack of support for any Non-Flash based devices.

It has: And Yet The Town Moves, Crayon Shin-Chan and Girl Friends (though I'd rather wait for Seven Seas' Release in October)

Other than that I'm having trouble warming to the site, articles are cool and that, but the sites layout is quite clunky and seems to not fit browsers properly.

It's good that it's finally released here in this country (No need for proxies), but at the moment, there's nothing there that entices me at all. Maybe if they get that big manga release, then I'll probably have a go at it.

Morita-san ha Mukuchi (or rather anything by Takeshobo) is now up worldwide.
They responded to all the nagging.

So far like the site, but that's due to relatively high yuri and yuri-like content.

Only some titles?
It's Mostly the previews for Viz's digital offerings that we lose.

*fist pumps into their air* OH HELL YES!

When I get paid...when I get paid, you shall be mine!

EDIT: Okay, I also want Hyakusho Kizoku.

Saw some comments about JManga in the other thread and remembered that I had meant to check them out at some time, so I made an account.

They seem to have a handful of super interesting titles like Crime and Punishment and SoreMachi but also a load of junk. What has their rate of acquisitions been like since they went world-wide?
