With O2 Priority tickets selling out in little over 5 minutes for GACKT's first UK show, it was no surprise that when tickets officially went on sale to the general public this morning, that they followed suit and sold out too.

GACKT's London show at the O2 Academy Islington on 16 July is the opening performance of his five date completely sold out European tour which includes shows in Paris, Spain and Germany.

Gackt has released nine albums and thirty-four singles as a solo musician. His music has been used as theme songs for various anime, television dramas, and video games, such as New Fist of the North Star, Bujingai, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, and Kamen Rider Decade, amongst others.

I heard that the Paris tickets sold out in 10 minutes, so a lot of London fans were worried they wouldn't get a ticket. I was lucky enough to get through on the phone, but they all sold out in 30 minutes.

Going to London or Paris or other venue Gig?

I'm going to the London show. I had an amusing conversation with the ticket hotline rep as he had never heard of Gackt. I had to explain to him who he is and the best I could come out with was:"He's like our Bono from U2, only even more famous."

Hehehe :). Enjoy the concert.

I had my ticket all ordered and paid for within a few minutes of them going on sale. Glad I didn't run into the trouble I hear a lot of fans did.
