Saw this on Sonia's blog.

I'm gonna cycle down to this. Will get there for 10ish, have a quick look round and hopefully take a few photos, but then I have to be off sharpish for the Chelsea match. :(

Well, I for one didn't know this sort of thing happened in this little town. It seems geared towards Japanophiles more so than anime fans though. Still, I might as well have a quick look.

Bumping for this year's even on the 18th... even though there's only like a 10% chance I will have the Saturday off and be able to go. :(

What was it like last year, anyone who went?

Wonderful, though every single stall ran out of food by the end and the queue for takoyaki in particular was a frenzied bloodbath from the very second they made the first batch. We turned up early which turned out to be a wise move as the crowds later on were too much.

The performances were all very interesting, and the live show by Frank Chickens was especially hilarious. I thought it was well worth the train fare.

Given its popularity I forsee every other stall selling takoyaki this time to join in the lucrative opportunity :)

They promise more stalls this time, which an only be a good thing.

I'm going again, just to have lunch and then I'm off to see Ozzfest. Anyone want to join me for takoyaki?

Even though it's fake takoyaki (it was fried!)

I'll drop you a text, :thumb: but as for eating takoyaki....i'm not sure, does the octopus taste rubbery? will i feel sick afterwards?

(might just play it safe and eat some ramen)
