Japan Matsuri takes place in London this time next week and the website gives a glimpse of what will be on offer:
<em>The much-loved JAPAN MATSURI returns to London on <strong>SATURDAY 5 OCTOBER</strong> for the second time in Trafalgar Square right in the very heart of London. This dynamic annual event brings people together to enjoy Japanese food, music, dance, activities for all the family and much, much more.</em>
<em>On the two stages throughout the day look out for spectacular taiko drumming, Japanese dance, a live Nodo Jiman karaoke contest here with great prizes, Tsugaru Shamisen and a variety of thrilling martial arts demonstrations.</em>
<em>Enjoy the atmosphere of a Japanese festival with food from the numerous stalls. All the family can join in the fun in the activities area with games and dressing in kimono. Or try your hand at drawing Japanese cartoons on the manga wall.</em>
