Jak And Daxter or Ratchet And Clank

It's that time of the gaming year when we see the latest instalments in these 2 game series's. However both have taken a different direction, Jak X being a combat racing game and Ratchet: Gladiator being a......you know I don't know what it's supposed to be

Which game series do you like better?

I used to like Jak & Daxter better till I played Ratchet & Clank 2. Jak 3 was also alot easier than 2 and I could never be bothered to get any off the extra stuff where as I loved all the extra stuff available to do in the Ratchet & Clank games especially the previous game save file required features :D I'd say I like Ratchet & Clank better.

I also tend towards Ratchet and Clank, mainly because Jak and Daxter cannot boast the arsenal of comic and devasting weapons alike that set R&C and its sequels apart from many platformers.

Racthet and Clank was number one for me from the first time I played it, and the next two games only improved on it- I love the arrays of weapons and gadgets, even on the tougher sections it remains fun. The Jak series on the other hand was a bit hit and miss for me, Jak 2 was too frustratingly hard and while the first and third games were enjoyable in their own way, they just couldn't quite measure up.

Since i haven't played many Jak & Daxter games, i can't say that i like them as much...The Ratchet and Clank series however is a great series, the variety of weapons at your disposal to deal with the hords of enemies you face is great...the Chicken ray gun for example  ....so yeah i would say Ratchet and Clank is better in my opinion

I haven't played them, but isn't Sly Racoon meant to be better than both these franchises (though as with most things, individual preference is all important)? :)

Jak and Daxter has the better story but for me Ratchet and clank is just easier to get along with, the premise is simple the game play effortless and its something you can sink in and out of without having to worry about not getting to certain point or being desparate to finish. I love games I can leave for ages and then just pick up from where I left off and not have to relearn how to play it each time
