Is Full Metal Panic! Second Raid ever going to come out?

I'm kinda worried that nothing's been said =/ I guess it makes sense since ADV has shut down now, and they distributed the first two series, but it's been out in the US a while now...
 
The short answer is, "We don't know".

The long answer is:

"It depends greatly on how the rights are being handled. Kadokawa USA were the former licensor of the series, but they recently handed over the baton to Funimation. It's uncertain whether Funimation's new rights over the series includes the UK, or just North America. If it includes the UK then I see no reason why they wont at some point release it through their UK distrobution agreements with Manga. If it doesn't include the UK, then the licence is up for grabs. It could be that the asking price is too high for any of the UK companies to take a chance with, or there could be another hurdle.

ADV has disappeared, but ADV had nothing to do with the distro of TSR in America, just the production.
 
It's a shame really, because I have FMP and FMP:Fumoffu and I'd have liked the get TSR too. But if it never comes out you can always get the R1, provided you have something to play it on.
 
This of course would require someone to get some funimation titles going over here again.

Personally, I had the R1 art box full. I then proceeded to sell it to my brother and buy the extrememly oddly packaged collection. Tis...like...plastic and shiz.... o.0
 
The rights to FMP must be something of a One Piece level flusterCuck by this point, between ADV going under, Kadokawa pulling out of the US market and Funi geting all three FMP series.

However, I wouldn't be surprised if the Japanese end had their heads full of it and thought they could get One Piece money out of Manga/Beez for it.

'cuz them guys don't know what the 'eff.
 
Thanks to this thread I've gone & ordered the boxset.

As for not liking importing sparrow, it is just a case of which do you dislike more? Do you dislike importing more that you dislike not being able to buy certain shows you want with no clear prospect of ever being able to buy them ever? Not just that, but do you dislike importing more that you dislike paying higher prices?

You could simply go on twitter and ask both Manga and Beez if they thinking about releasing Full Metal Panic! Second Raid in the UK. You would no way get a defiant yes but you get either a maybe or definite no for your troubles.

You probably will get maybe response but it worth it show you interest in the show. They have on occasion said no to certain ideas on twitter like Lucky Star Anime legend release or My-HiME sequel getting UK release.

I would rather pay a bit more to support UK animé. As for the former. If there's absolutely zero chance of ever getting that animé yes I'll import, but in many cases R1 only stuff has eventually come out here, so I don't mind being patient.
