Siriously- why did one of the greatest animes ever made get an OK in the UK then suddenly.. BOOF. its gone.. surely there has to be some reasonable answer.

It's a matter of opinion.... =P

In any case, TV execs are known to take their decisions based on ratings. Not sure that Inu Yasha ratings were impressive to keep it.

Myself, I've stopped watching it some point in the middle of the series. I might pick the rest up once final act is complete though.
 
I watched all of the original series (granted in 2 bits), guess it was too much (duration-wise) to release in the UK.

I intend to watch the final act assuming/when it is dubbed in english.

I am overreacting I already know. But I don't appretiate getting a smart assed comment for answering a question no matter how obvious it may seem.
 
Look Durial, if you actually felt offended then I'm sorry, it was meant in a light-hearted, playful manner which most long term members of the forum would recognise. If I'd noticed your post count I might have thought better of it.

I just roll my eyes when people say things like that (a while ago I remember someone saying the most overrated anime is the one everyone else liked but you didn't, and the most underrated vice-versa) because it is obvious. Everybody knows these things are opinion and not fact, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't discuss what, in our personal opinions is the best / worst / most overrated. If we didn't discuss these things, there wouldn't be much on the forum.
 
Well then I apologies for throwing a tantrum. And no I didn't get offended, how can anybody really feel offended by words. It did wind me up however. Again sorry. Oh and how OP worded it, he did suggest it was the greatest anime as a whole not just his opinion.
 
Whenever I get annoyed by a post, I look at it & see whether they meant to cause any offense or whether it was unintentional. If it appears to be unintentional, I disregard it without being bothered by it, because I know they would have spoken differently if they had known it would cause offense.

Have faith in the good in people.

Where as i read most of your posts and lol because within minutes of posting a sensible post....somewhere else on here you'll change the pokemon theme tune into a hentai merely for laughs.

Anyway, on topic....Whilst reading the first opst of this thread one other show came to mind....which was much more popular but yet is no longer Aired on tv....DBZ.

Which is a shame really, i've seen every ep....but it doesn't mean they should take it off the air, some of us appreciate being able to watch it on tv for a spot of nostalgia. :( i guess thats why people turn to the internet....Although its no longer able to harm the industry...as its only sold second hand now...its still not good because now were stuck watching it on a 19inch PC screen ¬_¬ )
