Introducing Minako; the new mascot of Anime UK News!

Starting in July '07, we began our search for charismatic <a href="http://forums.animeuknews.net/viewtopic.php?t=7179">new mascot for Anime UK News</a>. We had many great entries but in the end (and by general consensus I might add!), the winner turned out to be blonde-chibi Minako, designed by the talented <a href="http://forums.animeuknews.net/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=2056">Outlawstar</a>. Over the coming months and as we further integrate her into the website, Minako will eventually become the unique face of Anime UK News, and so, as means of introduction, we present <a href="http://www.animeuknews.net/article/44/introducing-minako;-the-new-mascot-of-anime-uk-news-an-interview-with-her-creator-outlawstar">this interview with Outlawstar</a>; spliced together with several images of Minako (with more on the way too!), we discuss a wide range of topics with her creator.

Nice interview! ^_^ Really enjoyed it!

Minako is awesome, but the one complaint I would have is the smileys incorporating her design. For me, the smileys are just a bit jarring and I actually try to avoid using them. I'd like if there was the option to use the regular smileys too, but that's probably just me!

Also, Outlawstar, how come the tri-colour isn't represented in your Minako design? :p
 
Good interview and again i think minako's design is great outlawstar! :D Here's hoping that all turns out well with Minako as the mascot.

The design were good but some I also felt slightly disapointed... hmm well any way congratulations Minako!
 
She was loved by the time the upload of her picture here was complete... It was an instant classic, and thus, she deserves this spot for her originality.

She stomped my entry, and sored over the others. That is why I say congrats Outlawstar, and welcome to Minako's Britania!
(Note: Britania MAY have had influence from an outside reference...) :D
 
Congratulations!!! Minako is very cute and eyecatching! And I really nejoyed reading that interview, gave me a warm glow ^_^

I definately agree with that, I think - but Minako is still really, really awesome!

I doubt Paul will become a slave driver and make O.Star draw tons of pointless mascot pics for the site. But, yeah, not too many pictures is still as good as not having too less. ;)
