In the flurry of excitement surrounding Neo's launch, we've been able to speak with the magazine's editor Stu Taylor. Covering a whole range of topics; from how Neo initially got started to the possibility of including cover-discs with the magazine; this interview should be considered an essential read for anyone with a passing interest in this newly born (and rare) UK anime magazine.

The image to your right is the new magazine cover. The old cover, which is currently featured on the Neo website, is an out-dated prototype. Hmm, a GITS:SAC cover, that should pull people in.
At least the main image isnt covering up the logo unlike on the mock up

All I know is, with a cover like that it will lose out on sales to female fans, as it is not the least bit appealing and too male orientated. I would definitely want to support a UK anime mag, but the creators of these things have to remember that it's not only guys who watch/love anime :?

Oh, grow up. I'd like to think that anyone intelligent enought to realise that the Major is designed to attract a certain demographic would be sensible enough to get over it. While I imagine it's great fun to play the down-trodden feminist, it's a magazine cover, and it's a drawing. Don't judge a book by its cover.

That cover is annoying cause know the people at the desk will probably think im buying hentai or something.
You think the average WH Smith teller'll know what hentai is? They probably wouldn't know what you were buying if it was a Legend Of The Overfiend DVD. Besides, do you think they assume people buying Max Power are getting hardcore porn?

Get over what? The fact that as with most anime magazines, it's directed to a male readership? and why such a childish "male" response? am I not allowed an opinion without such comments
It was an honest view from a female anime fan, it WON'T attract a female buyer.
