Impressions of the London Expo?

To those who went this weekend, what were your impressions of the London Expo? Especially the anime section? All opinions are welcome, I'll hopefully be able to produce a report on the event using your opinions :)
 
It was really good in my option and the anime There was great as well and meeting lots of people was fun coz everyone who cosplayed had GREAT outfits ^_^!
 
yup! That was sooo cool! Like Selphie said, the Anime section was soo great, I cant wait for the next Anime Expo!

:X I need to make a report on what all those ppl at the forum thing, with the head of ADV, MVM, Manga, Beez and Rapture, that was amazing to hear them all talk about it, but so much stuff to say :?

I thought that the anime village was the best thing there, and it was great to see all the cosplay. It was my first time going to a convention, but my brother said it was a lot smaller than the comic cons he had been to in the past.
Tokyo toys were the best retailer there for me, as I came away with all three Advent Children figures and a couple of Rei Ayanami statues. Staff on all the stalls were generally helpful and cheerful, despite the huge crowds.
The anime screening worked well, and from what I could see the artist alley was a hit with lots of people involved. The only thing I think let the day down was the dance competition. Great idea. Badly situated. It was obvious that the anime was the most popular thing when I was there, but it was too crowded because people were all sat watching the dancing. It would have been better if that was off in the corner somewhere with seats and everything.
But overall I enjoyed myself. We spent about four hours there with a couple of friends and I will be going to the next one without a doubt.
 
hi every one it was great loads of cool things and free stuff i dont know where i am gonna put put this really long poster from the manga section well here are my pics of everything. i met loads of my friends and people i met at the canterbury anime and manga night. there were some cool artists there one of them was a girl who made these cool bunnies. i bought two bags of pocky and those chewy things lol and one of those fruits basket hats lol. the best thing i got was the manga pen set it is so cool. I got nearly everyone to sign the board and all the keyrings were given away yay lol. So it was a really fun and cool day and if you didnt go this year go to the next. London expo may 2006 here we come!
 
Considering it was my first big event I had a great time! I thought some of the cosplayers were outstanding - expecially the guy dressed as Cloud from FF7. The Dalek was also a brilliant if unexpected surprise! I love it when it went terrorising the manga artists!
 
That was great!!! Im suprised Jake actually got a picture of Neko...She kept running away from Valha when he got his camera out, and I just smiled everytime anyone held up the camera. Loads of the cosplay was fantastic and I saw nearly everyone I planned to :D My fav cosplay was the guy dressed as Cloud from FF7 Advent Children. He looked so cool. JAKEMAN's cosplay totally rocked too! Heehee I'm so going back in May ^_^
