Immortal Rain

Well, yes. I own and have the first 6 volumes - vol.7 is finally planned for July release.

Synopsis: http://www.tokyopop.com/dbpage.php?prop ... troduction

Its a very good series. The first 2 volumes are fairly simple and lighthearted. The action is very clean and easy to follow (unusually so - 'fighting manga for girls' comes to mind). Much of it about Machika chasing Rain around the place. Rain, the infamous Methuselah, being well, deeply unimpressive with respect to his reputation.

Its with book 3 however that the series becomes very gripping. We start to see Rain's backstory and why he is immortal. The story also becomes a lot darker.

Great stuff, but the wait for volume 7 is torment (theres a lot of cliffhangers)

Well i gave up after vol.2 as i was'ent so keen but i may give it anouther look.
For me it was the type of manga i couled just read threw quickly, i couldent get in too it =x

Really the hook is in volume 3. Up until that point, it feels like a light hearted shoujo series that wears some boys action themes like a coat.

I remember being deeply impressed by the third book.
