If My Favourite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die Volume 1 Review

Hell yeah, that sneaked up on me! I never remember to check up coming releases, apart from the ones Bookwalker tell me about because I've bought a volume. Probably would have spotted it at some point when it became eligible for coin back and in a relevant event.
Thought I'd check through my list of other manga I'm waiting on. Turns out the first 5 volumes of Killing Bites are out! And dirt cheap too:
Got anybody who might want to review it?

Just as an FYI - I haven’t read this myself but I have been hearing a lot of criticism toward the translation and lettering of that one, perhaps unsurprisingly since it’s being published by MediBang and their quality varies a lot. 😅

Looked at their catalogue. Does seem cheap and cheerful. Lots of smut (looking at some of the titles, even hentai) and BL. Got to page 6 out of 16 and haven't recognised one title. In the genre section on advanced search it doesn't have Anime on it (although it should have at least one with Killing Bites), so seems they pick up the dregs that other companies don't bother with.
The fact they just kept the Japanese cover because it already had the English title on, does suggest a lack of effort, but they're only c. £2.50 a volume!

Well, they're a translation/localisation company first and foremost before publishing, you might see their name pop up on Manga Plus translation credits or Kadokawa's awful cheap digital stuff that started a couple of years back because they’re an agency you go to when you want things done fast and cheaply without hiring in-house staff. The staff there are certainly not paid what they deserve to be and so the work is low quality and very churn and burn, a lot of their titles look like those belonging to smaller publishers who don't have their own presence outside of Japan and let MediBang handle everything instead.

I still give them the benefit of the doubt occasionally since not all the Manga Plus releases are terrible quality wise and I did pick up Papa and Daddy's Home Cooking, which they recently put out and gets by pretty well. But yeah, with low prices like that, you can certainly see why most of the time.
