on UP1 they have loads of gundam series and im not sure which ones to get * as all of you are aware i want to collected all anime for my dvd library * thing is there are a few that im not sure are different or the same, i know -

Hmm, i'm no expert but it looks like their are no duplicates per se. The Seed TV movies are probably cut from the TV series though, but then again that kind of Movie sometimes has extra scenes to entice buyers.

Also, Holy crap there's more Gundam available than I realised, I know there's a metric crap ton in existance but I didn't know we had that much with english dub/subs.
 
I would say these are mandatory:

Gundam, Mobile Suit 0079 Complete Collection 1
Gundam, Mobile Suit 0079 Complete Collection 2
Gundam, Mobile Suit Movie Trilogy
Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Collection 1
Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Collection 2
Gundam Mobile Suit 0080 Complete Collection
Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory Complete Collection

both because they are out of print and range from good to great.

From your lists you are missing:

Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team
(this is really good, it's gone out of print with that Bandai mess, try to locate it and grab a copy as soon as you can)

and:

Mobile Fighter G-Gundam: Complete First Collection
Mobile Fighter G-Gundam: Complete Second Collection
(these are both Anime Legends sets, can't comment on quality since I still haven't watched them)

(you can be sure this will be in print for quite some time, so there's no hurry, plus you need to watch all the above shows before this one)

Gundam, Mobile Suit Zeta Movie Complete Collection
(these are out of print so if you are a maniac you had better to hurry and get them, but they are just for completists)

SD Gundam Force Collection: All New Adventures
(just for maniacs, avoid)

Gundam, Mobile Suit 00 The Movie: Awakening of the Trailblazer
Gundam SEED Destiny TV Movie 1

Im not a major gundam fan but i think i may be able to help somewhat:

Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: The Afterglow of Zeon(after gundam zeta)
Gundam Wing Endless Waltz (watch this after both parts of wing)
Mobile Suit Gundam - Char's Counter Attack(after gundam zeta and double zeta)
Mobile Suit Gundam F91 - The Motion Picture (bafter chars counter attack but before UC)

Im sure somebody will be along to correct any mistakes ive made here but as far as i can remember thats pretty much accurate.
