tbh everyone succumbs to it in one way or another.
only the extreme cases where people change their whole personality, morals,religion or way of life as a whole is turned around to please others are the ones people notice the most.

Humans are a pack animal, in essence, in most of us there's a subconscious desire to "belong". As anime fans most of us have rebelled against "normal" culture....and instead we find ourself belonging to geek culture.
Peer pressure is always there no matter who or what you are, it just comes with different levels of intensity, and affects you in different ways depending on your personality.
It's not just a matter of being a sheep, it's a matter of weighing up the two options. Conforming and being slightly unhappy with something, ornot conforming and being rejected. For most people that rejection is harder than just going with the flow...but there are those of us with our brains wired slightly differently....

I dunno for a long while I was stuck in a shell, and then due to certain events which I would rather not talk about I kind of burst out of this quiet shell cuz I thought hey I only live once. But in doing so I went overboard and pissed off a few people including some of my freinds without realizing what I was doing.
Anyway things are normal now I seem to have found a balance, but for some reason it took me longer than most to find this balance.
The reason why we’re sometimes afraid to talk to people is because we are afraid of rejection. Terrified of it. What if they cuss me out? What if they calls me a loser? We’re afraid of the social pressure from people watching, too. (can you guess were im going with this?)

long, live life, just dont go over board.
