It's really wierd how it seems to only be happening to you. I dunno what could be wrong like. Maybe a Java Update (grabbing at straws). Unlikely to be that like. Just been on your List now on my work PC and it works fine as normal. Have you tried loging onto your account threw a different PC?

Yeah that is the strange part but that could be down to anything, a setting not put right, an incompatbility somewhere down the line.

It is now doing it again.

It's weird cause other people were having the problem too, across all of MAL.

I'm guessing its MALs servers. It's on weekends and during 'prime times' that I get the problem. Surely thats the more likely explanation?

I'm assuming it's what Black said with the MALUpdate the. I never used it and I've never had a problem with the site unless it was down for an update reason either. Guess you'll just have to wait it out or email admin if it's getting concerning like.
