Howl's Moving Castle loses out at the Annies

Despite being nominated for three awards at the 33rd annual Annie Awards, Hayao Miyazaki's Howl's Moving Castle walked away from the ceremony empty handed. The awards were largely dominated by Western productions- especially the UK's "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit".

With these movies again going head-to-head in March, this time for an Oscar, Wallace & Gromit is now the odds on favourite (if it wasn't already) to claim the "Best Animated Film" award.

I knew it would be. I have to admit that it ticks me off a little; i've never expected Howl's to win an Oscar, but still, i have a tendancy to begin to hate something when things i never liked that much in the begining become popular over something i do like.
Still, i will just try and focus on how good a English success would be
