how to look after your anime and manga collections

I just don't touch the disc surfaces of any of my discs (be they DVDs, CDs or games). My DVD collection is under my desk; dust can get their sometimes but if it annoys me I just clean it off. My manga shelves don't get any dust, and nothing's yellowed.

Also, I avoid setting them on fire. That helps a lot.

my lil sister wanted me to leaned a few animes to one of her friends and i didn't wanted to be spitfull so i lent her 4 of my animes and im regretting it, i lent her 4 movies resident evil, dead space down fall and aftermath, apple seed ex, and a spear naruto movie and naruto shippuden boxset 2. i could of said no but im a big softy. im going to give her some rules :
1 if there damaged shes paying for them
2 i want them back with in a week if not shes not getting anymore
3 im going to tell her to tell her friend to watch them alone
4 if he suffers from watching them shes to blame

I'm sorry what?

Why would watching it alone make any difference and how would he suffer from watching?

ANyways, some of my friends are unreliable with DVDs so I lend them dvds in blank CD/ dvd cases. People will usually pay up if the disc gets damaged, but if its just a crease in the case or a chip they probably would just not care, but I would be peeved at them, because I like my cases to be like new (or at minimum not friggin broken).

It bugs me because I treat stuff I borrow like it's a relic from the British Museum but I get the feeling some people just don't give two shits.

i know thats what i do i treat peoples belongings like there were my anime collection and thats saying il treat them like golum from lord of the rings takes care of the ring.
and as for watching it alone you know what people are like if they see something they dont understand,

should i use mr sheen?

i was putting aside 2 fma singles to watch tomorrow and i saw that lil bits of dirt on the case.
should i use mr sheen or use something else

I've learnt my lesson to never lend anyone anything. Ive still got 2 games floating around my group of friends that no one seems to be able to find. Fable 2 (LE) and Lego Harry Potter. Thankfully its 2 games i really couldnt care less about.
But i think the worse thing thats happened to me is, I lent a DVD to mate. What i got given back was all scratched. Turned out it wasnt even my DVD, my mate had got drunk tried to Post mine thru the floor boards, Broke it and then got me a second hand copy. I was not very happy.

Goddam it, I was looking forward to making a disparaging remark about Fable and Peter Molyneux in general and you robbed me of it no sooner than you had provided me the opportunity.
