How long does it take PLAYUSA to send Out Of Stock DVD's?

Pre-order/new release wise its about 3 weeks from release day. I think they ship all new titles to the UK/europe and then count them as in stock after they are here. I have tried ordering 2 new releases from them before, but I have cancelled both of them in favour of just getting it faster.

I dunno, if they're anything like play.com sometimes the whole "out of stock, will receive stock in x weeks/days" is BS. I ordered a PS2 controller god knows when and still hadn't received it after several months, ended up cancelling.

Those times assume it is in print, Amazon is the same.

I can't say I have had any real problems with playusa - if something is out of stock it may take a few weeks more but then that applies to orders anywhere - I once ordered something for my brother from HMV and it took them half a year to come to the conclusion that they could not get the item at which point they cancelled the order.

Out of curiosity, what was it you ordered/was thinking of ordering Neferpitou?

A certain series involving a pirate with a straw hat searching for a treasure called...wait that would reveal too much :D .

I think you should be okay with that series - I have been ordering it myself over the past few months (last volume I got was series 2 part 6).

You maybe in for long wait to get series 2 part 7 as it out of stock now. I guess you not really interested in getting those filler episodes I guess.

I don't know about PlayUSA, but one volume of Dennou Coil which I pre-ordered from YesAsia (admittedly close to the release date, but that was mainly due to them taking a long time adding it) they were unable to obtain at all and I had to source from CDJapan instead (and take the shipping and duty hits).
CDJapan is best for being clear about availability and stock levels (once stock gets low they tell you how many are remaining and also whether they have any first press extras left)

That's generally been my experience as well, hence my almost fainting when they sent My Bride is a Mermaid 1-2 weeks early o_O
It must have been quite an arousing series.

Didn't take that long actually. Ordered it on the 8th & got a confirmation email saying it has been shipped on the 18th - about a week and a half.

Personally always found playUSA really good for preorders. I've been getting one piece off them for a while always had it dispatched really quickly and got in 1/2 weeks later.
I use playUSA for anything under £18 because i know yoy dont get charged import tax.
Anything over £18 or out of stock on playUSA i use axel music, There stuff costs a bit more but because they ship to the eu first then to your house you dont get any import tax put on.

While we're on the subject of PlayUSA... Do they dispatch each item separately like Play.com? Since Fabio kindly pointed out that the Slayers Revolution BD was only £17.99 there, I've noticed several other bargains I'm tempted by. Should I order them together, or do they need to be ordered separately to avoid tax?

Also, do things above the £18 threshold stand much of a chance of getting through from them, or do they clearly mark the cost like law abiding f*cks?

One would advise you to order them separately, especially since shipping is free.

I recall someone claiming PlayUSA to adhere to the eye of the law: after all, there would be no need for them to sell items for a penny less than the limit unless they marked the forms correctly.
