Hitman REBORN Dub - No Dub ??????

its only been licensed for crunchyroll
it doesn't have a dvd release or anything, i'd love for it to get licensed for a dvd release its a great series
plus another reason is the dub would suck lol

It's unlicenced, except for streaming.
Wether something has a dub or not is determined by who holds the US disk rights, or if it gets TV broadcast outside Japan.

Licensing long series like that is prety hard, it costs a lot and if it doesn't sell you piss off fans/customers by having to cancel it.

Aww that sucks, I was hoping to get it on DVD :(
Another Quick question if I can.

I saw on Amazon that Durarara!!! Vol 1 is coming out Nov 29th, I was just wondering why we are getting it so early, it hasn't been released in the US ( If I'm right ) so how comes we're getting it so soon ?

Long running series need a US TV deal to become profitable. Most straight to DVD shows are never longer than 52 episodes.

For example, DBZ was on FOX Kids, then Toonami.
Naruto was on Toonami, then Disney XD
Dragon Ball Kai is on Nicktoons
And Bleach is on [adult swim]

Since Crunchyroll are going to release The Girl who leapt through time (I think) in the US, if it's profitable, they could hire another company dub the show and release it theirselves

If Crunchy can't do it, it's upto VIZ or Funi to convince [as] to pick it up =/

You mean 5cm per Second.
The Girl Who Lept Through Time is Bandai Ent., as you can read on the UK disks.

The thing about Hitman Reborn! is that the first batch of episodes, while they start off funny, get dull quickly. Add to the fact that they are pure comedy where as the rest of the series becomes more traditional Shonen would make it a hard sell. Do you release the comedy episodes and lose the casual audience that would like a Shonen series but are put off by the comedic episodes? Or do you try to release later episodes first and revisit the early episodes later? (Like FUNimation did with Dragon Ball GT back in the day)

That's the problem... well, that the expensive rights and all that stuff.

i bet the reason its not being released in america is because of how tsuna gets shot in the head so then people will use it as a excuse to complain about or blame if someone gets shot by someone that happens to like reborn

DRRRR!! Has Crispy Bacon Freeman in it, Oh Wammy
