Historical or educational anime question

I ask you question. Any anime can teach us about history of japan or country culture or true story ? Becuase i can see mostly anime is fanasty story.

Culture... to some extent I would count Aoi Bungaku as being useful for this. It is a reimagining of several classic Japanese books or short stories, and, whilst it takes some liberties at times, it captures some of the sentiment behind them quite well.

You can pick up bits and pieces of folklore from various series featuring Youkai or strong Shinto elements, but I would recommend also doing further reading of your own around the subject, as obviously not everything is entirely reliably told in anime.

The currently airing Chihayafuru features Karuta to a large degree.
