So, hi. I'm Kaz. And I only just noticed there was an introductions bit. ^^'

Let's see... well, here's the animes I've seen so far:

Vampire Knight (started off well, then gradually got more and more irritating)

And I'm currently watching 07-Ghost and Pandora Hearts.

I like gaming on the PS2; I've played Okami, Final Fantasy XII, Kingdom Hearts I and II, am halfway through Final Fantasy X. I also draw a lot, and make sig banners on Photoshop. If anyone wants to look, there's my DeviantART page: http://fluoritekaz.deviantart.com/

I'm a bit of a fangirl, really... I get very obsessed when I find a series I like. Anyway. This seems like a pretty cool place; not too busy, not too quiet. Nice people too.

As I'm a welcoming person, I welcome you, Kaz. You're correct - this is a kool place - and I'm the most kool guy around. If you need dirt on any member, whether it be Chaz's p**** (blanked out after seeing underage picture on art page) issues or another members incestus thoughts, I'm the man to ask. We're all tight around here.

Something young girls on AUKN need to know: be wary of chaos. He will offer you movie tickets.

Before leaving, there's something I'd like to ask you. How good is Okami and how does it play? I'm too lazy to use Google and, since I'm posting anyway, I thought I'd ask you. Please by logical with your response; no fangirl talk, please.

Aion, I'm not one the crazy fangirls. I don't go squealing over fictional characters at every break in the conversation. ;) So, as to Okami...

I haven't come across another game like Okami, and I don't think that's just due to my inexperience in gaming. It is quite unique. You may already know about its graphics, they've been made to look as if you're playing in a Japanese painting. The effect has been done well too, in all the different environments.

The game's a lot of fun to play; you have a lot of freedom to move. The faster you run, the more flowers spring up in your wake. ;) Not to mention the bursts of maple leaves when you jump. A big part of the game is using brush symbols that you draw onto a canvas to affect the environment and to fight, e.g. you can use the same power to cut down and tree and to slice a demon in half.

There's a range of good characters, and the story is interesting. The bosses are challenging. I honestly didn't dislike anything about this game; although maybe it's length might put some people off... I think it's 60+ hours gameplay. You should definitely give it a try.

Willkommen and Bienvenue. All pretty recent stuff there, time to check out the classics. I won't recommend Ghost In The Shell though, since Spyro likes to do that, but a few basics to hasten your descent from wide-eyed young fan into jaded otaku are (apart from GITS): Akira, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist. Some decent artwork there too, keep it up. :thumb:

I believe you. No-one else will believe you don't have dozens of LightxL and LelouchxSuzuka doujins on your HDD after seeing your list, but I'll stick by you.


Ah, yes, painting. I remember reading something about that, though it's long since escaped my memory. All I remember are keywords - unique, artistic, wolf, etc.

I actually have the game sat on my shelf, unplayed. Since I'm getting sick of RPGs and can't be bothered to get back into Twilight Princess after not playing it for months, I might finally give it a look. Who knows, maybe my artistic talent, which has been hidden for 21 years, will burst through when I get into it.

60 hours is normal length for me. If you play RPGs, anything below 30 hours is short. So, the longer the better.


One last thing: you're able to communicate without resorting to a form of incomprehensible forum post poetry and you appear to be a real Rui. Please stay. I'll even be friendly and won't try to get you to quit before you reach 50 posts.

If that's all the anime you've seen up till now, then your in for a treat in the future. I would rhyme off a load to watch but I'm not one for telling people what to watch. Ayase, however has made a nice little list you shoul look at like.

Thanks very much, and thanks for the recommendations. I tried NGE a year or so ago and didn't really continue it, but I'll give it another go. Been meaning to watch Cowboy Bebop too.

@ Aion - Glad to know I've made a good first impression. I really don't have those doujins. Not with those pairings anyway...

Fruits Basket, Code Geass, Macross F - Yep, I have to agree that they're good, and the songs from macross are amazing, prefering Sheryl's voice to Ranka's though.

As for your art - I like "-IHS- Kazuo + Megu-chan" and "It's Allen" the best. Some good work developing there, so I hope you keep it up. ;)

I preferred Ranka's myself. :p Always thought she sounded a bit sweeter.
As for your art - I like "-IHS- Kazuo + Megu-chan" and "It's Allen" the best. Some good work developing there, so I hope you keep it up. ;)
