Hi All...

Hi,

I'm Mike (Mouse) from Manchester.

I used to watch a lot of Anime a while ago and then kinda stopped when I finished uni, got a house, married and now a second child (4 week old)...

My eldest kid is 4 years old and I've subjected him to a lot of the cartoons of my childhood (Danger Mouse, Old school Thunder Cats etc) I couldn't exactly let him watch the manga's that I had like Wicked City which are a tad too old for him. So I found some younger kid friendly animie's which I've sat and watched with him like Howl's moving castle.

Recently (over my paternity leave) I've started watching some more with the little one at 3am in the morning while giving her a bottle lol picked up high school of the dead and my brother in law got me death note complete collection for Xmas which I'm 9 episodes into (no spoilers please :D)

Also started playing about drawing (attempting) manga characters (can get my son involved at the same time, keep him from playing on Mario too much)...

Then I decided to look for an Anime/Manga orientated RSS feed and came across this forum :D so here I am...

Anyway... Non anime side.

I'm a Technical Support Consultant, who also likes playing games (Battlefield 3 at the moment) and running. Signed up for the Marathon in Manchester on April 29th! , feel free to kick me and tell me to go for a run every now and then ;) all the prods and reminders help he he..

Spotted there is going to be an Expo in Manchester (not much detail), anyone going? :)

Regards,
Mouse

Welcome to the forums!

Death Note is certainly a good show to get back into anime with, hopefully you can find more shows to watch from there.

Good luck with the marathon! I run fairly often, but never even considered that sort of distance, couple of 10k runs a week is my current regime.

Thanks,

I used to do a lot of 10k's, then started doing some of the more interesting races like hellrunner.co.uk (10 to 12 miles of mud, hills etc).

Followed that one up by a trail half marathon (very hilly) and now my next challenge 26.2 miles...

Keep up the running :)

Here's a late welcome from me as well!
Nice introduction. I have to say, every time I read a well written introduction such as your one, I feel hopelessly vapid inside knowing that I never even attempted one. I've thought about doing a (very) belated one, but what's the point? Everyone around here already knows who wears the tin foil...

Anyway it's good to have a serious runner here! I used to like running too. I don't know about 26 miles, but I fondly look back on the good times when I used to run up mountains in a foreign country...

Good to have you about mouse.
