Hello from London

Hi everyone, I’m Steve

I’m based in the UK and thought I’d finally stop lurking and say hello. I’m into anime across the board — from seasonal stuff to older classics — and I enjoy keeping up with news, reviews, and general industry chat. Always happy to pick up recommendations or have a good discussion about what’s worth watching (or what really isn’t).

Outside of anime, I work in tech as a project manager, so I’m also interested in how technology and media overlap. Looking forward to joining in on discussions, sharing opinions, and learning a few new things from you lot.

Welcome! I'm down in Portsmouth, so not a million miles away from London.

I always like to see what others are interested in and watching. While I've been here, I've had some good recommendations and found out about some shows, games, and other media that I wouldn't have otherwise! There's a few bargain/deals threads too, that are worth keeping an eye on (if you like dabbling in physical collecting) - there's not many places where people are looking out for anime/manga related deals!

I know it's hard, but if you had to pick 3 anime shows that you always go back to, what would they be?

That’s a tough one, but if I really had to narrow it down to three I always end up going back to:

Cowboy Bebop – It never gets old. The soundtrack, the vibe, the characters… it just hits every time, whether I’m watching a full rewatch or just dipping into a random episode.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood – Probably the safest rewatch for me. Great story, strong characters, and it still feels well-paced even after multiple runs. Easy to recommend and easy to come back to.

Neon Genesis Evangelion – Not exactly a comfort watch, but one I keep revisiting. I always notice something new depending on my mood or where I’m at in life, which keeps it interesting.

Ask me again in a year and the list might change though.
