For someone who'd not had his 1st Sex ed class yet (although that came later in the year...), I highly doubt this was a role-model choice for me either. However, it didn't screw me up or my like for anime.All-in-all: I think it's best to show them a movie like "Girl who lept through time" or the mentioned series of Cowboy Bebop, etc. And if they didn't like it, then they either not interested or weren't meant to "get it."
