I was wondering why i was told this earlier. I had no idea we actually had a Pi-Day. I guess it's something we ain't told in maths, hah.

This explains the significance of that textual message I discovered earlier today. 'Tis quaint that the celebration of a transcendental number should coincide with the day of maternal recognition.

As my parents have never spoilt me on June 1st (AKA childrens day) ...and i'm their offspring.

My mother got absolutely **** all yesterday

Wikipedia is your friend.....and tbh its not even a bank holiday. why the hell celebrate something that most people don't even understand/know the origin of.

makes me wonder if christmas will end up being the same as that one day.....a holiday but nobody knows why.

I doubt Christmas will be that way because it's a religious holiday, not some bullcrappy "need an extra day off'a work to celebrate something" day.

Religious? I laugh isn't Christmas about consumerism now?

You'll find that it is a holiday with Christian and Pagan origins. Christians & Pagans will never forget this, I assure you.
