Graphics tablet

I'm currently using a Wacom. Don't know which model though, since it's my Mum's and she can't remember...

I do know it only cost a couple of hundred though. Pretty good when you consider what the top end would cost. Also pretty good since I'm going to have to get my own when I head off to uni in October...

Whatever you do go for though, the one feature I've found invaluable is that it's pressure sensitive. I could not work without that!

I've also got a Wacom, but i'm guessing mine is considerably smaller than Siobhan's because it didn't cost anywhere near even one hundred pounds, probably not even £50
It's probably the smallest size you can get (though the only one i saw at PC World), though it does the job. The pressure sensitivity is definitely the best feature, but the fact that you have a bit more control is the other good thing about it.
I don't know what size you hope to get, but i think the small size is perfectly fine for basic work on pictures, and use with computer programs

I have a Wacom Ultrapad size A3, which cost me a lot!!!! (like £300) but its worth it. Especially if you're using photoshop. The pen has sumthing like 256 levels of sensitivity.
Its really good for me cos im always arting, so if your dedicated to your work, its a great buy ^__^
Im sure you could pick up a cheaper one though. Wacom i find are a good make, and you can get loadsa different types, much cheaper than mine. It also depends on what size you want, that can really effect teh price. I got mine from John Lewis electronics section, if thats any help. They had tons of em. But I suppose any electronics shop/website will sell em. Even eBay!!
I think windows millenium edition is Xp isnt it? Ah well im not too good with compies ^^;

lol just search Ebay its where i got mine ^_^, Ive currently got a Aiptek Hyperpen 5000u, Its not as good as a wacom but who can argue with £10 ^.-, Anyways you can always try it and upgrade later when youve got more confident at using a tablet
