I think it took about ten years for windows to really become less ******. The first windows I've used was the infamous 3.0, which you started from DOS. then, moved to 3.11 and 3.11 for workgoups, windows NT 3.5, then windows 95, 98 and 2k. In other words, by the time windows got decent enough to work, I was already pissed with it beyond salvation.
I would consider moving back to linux, but macs are getting me dumber (even more) I can't remember the last time I had to troubleshoot my computer since moving to them and to me, this is invaluable.
I've never needed to format my mac and I've never had any problem with virus, trojans or similars.
The only serious draw back is only blizzard releases games for macs. Can't really think of anything else.

Oh come on, you also get the annual update of Football Manager to play....or is that just me...
