Getting Started on Manga

Not sure if I recognise the title but it sounds very familiar. Looking forward to the Manga section opening in my Waterstones. It's looking quite big too. Well, bigger than I was expecting. Just hoping they'll have a few choices and not fill shelves with the same things. Guess, I'll find out at the weekend =)
 
at my local one they ususally have a shelf for each series(depending on it's volumes)i think naruto has 2 shelvesO_O-*drool*)
they will have some *cough*heavy yaoi..well mine does anyway :D
it's like WOW! porn at waterstones ><
 
aww you're waterstones sound so much cooler then mine, all mine gets for the manga part is one of those spinning rack things plus the manga is all mixed up :(

i have 2 waterstones near me the smaller of the 2 have all the manga and the bigger one just has the spinning rack...i think they all are going to expand the collection cause manga is a big thing these days ^^
or otherwise they are just looking at the store which sells more and improves it
 
Your Lucky Lee. Waterstones is my only source of manga in my area. Used to be just the spinning rack but have now made it larger to a small alcove in the shop. Much more optiond though not quite as hardcore as the Waterstones by you like.

Might be an acquired taste but I recommend Hellsing. The stories hardly deep, but the artwork and action is excellent. It's also a fair step up from the shortlived anime version.
 
I stand by the fact that the best manga series I have ever read is FAKE.Now obviously,because it is yaoi I know It wouldn't be to everyones taste.It's mostly flirting throughout anyway...err If you ignore the sex at the end it is err hah.

Anyway,I would recommend Saiyuki and Trigun Maximum :)

Needless to say. I've got alot to catch up on in the Manga department. Don't think there's enough hours in the day to read it all. I've been looking up on your suggestions peops and there some fantastic choices. Infact I'm spoilt. I've got the point where I can't decide what I should read. There's just soo many.
