A second season of Gatchaman Crowds has been given the go-ahead for production and is running under the title Gatchaman Crowds Second.


No further news has been announced in terms of staff. The first season of Gatchaman Crowds came from Tatsunoko Production and was directed by Kenji Nakamura and written by Toshiya Oono who both collaborated on Tsuritama. It was an unusual take on the super sentai genre which gained fans due to its unconventional nature and lead hero Hajime. A Blu-Ray and DVD set will be release in Japan in January 2014.

Mixed feelings on this. I liked Gatchaman and loed the characters but I thought it ended on the right note in terms of story and I don't know where else the writer can go.
