FUNimation license ninja series Basilisk

Over this last weekend, FUNimation have announced their US acquisition of the "back to basics" ninja anime series Basilisk; animated by the popular Studio GONZO (<a href="http://www.animeuknews.net/viewreview.php?showreview=49">Hellsing</a>, <a href="http://www.animeuknews.net/viewreview.php?showreview=69">Last Exile</a>).

As ever, eyes will now turn to UK publishers MVM who have and are releasing a number of FUNimation series in the UK (<a href="http://www.animeuknews.net/viewreview.php?showreview=127">Full Metal Alchemist</a> and <a href="http://www.animeuknews.net/viewreview.php?showreview=25">Fruits Basket</a> to name but a few).

Good news, this is a very strong series that will no doubt delight fans of the original Ninja Scroll. Certainly my pick of Gonzo's current big three.

Never seen or heard of it, but if it's being likened to Ninja Scroll then it's definetely one on my list
