I don't think good idea to import FMA at the moment taking account how the pound is still doing against the dollar and the cost of postage too. With free postage as standard, cash back sites, more choices of places to buy from and voucher a plenty in the UK seem a lot better choice in this case. Also no worries over customs too. Only worth buying the USA release for Blu Ray edition which seem unlikely to appear over here.

I'm in no rush for FMA:B so will buy whichever version is cheaper and/or better. If they do go for a UK blu release I hope it's region free so I can join in.

i'd happy to pay £4 more inc postage for a dvd that doesn't have dubtitles and sign subs actually work

MANGA don't do dubtitles anymore, sign subs is another matter and can vary great deal on MANGA releases. With how the exchange rate is at the moment and other savings you can get in the UK. It look likely you will be paying more than £4 for region 1 version. There no guarantees that it going to available for less than custom limit so that could be lot extra costs.

you know you can get anime without custom charges

it's called UP1, and i'm yet to find a dvd release from them more that £5 RRP in the uk

I'll be collecting this since A) I like FMA and B) I on-holded it previously. It'll be good to watch from the comfort of my bed... assuming my bed remains comfy and isn't covered with dirt, that is.

I'm in no great hurry, though, and I might wait for the box sets.

RRP means nothing, its the price you pay that matters. For example compare the prices of revelation UK release of the fouth Fullmetal Alchemist box set with near identical region 1 release

http://www.up1.co.uk/Details/F0818

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Fullmetal-Alche ... 031&sr=1-3

With postage the UP1 price is £11.10 more expensive than revelation release.
