First images from Dragonball film appear online

Better images off this Dragon Ball movie are around now.. Clicky Here. For the pictures that do actually load for you, It looks really quite "eek". It looks very Martial Arts-esque now. It better look better on camera. Things usually do look a lot less tacky that way. A fair amount of CG probably needs to be in use as well. Strange that.

I still want a trailer and for it to look uberly KICK ASS!

I heard once that they may be showing a trailer around the time of the Superbowl? I'm not american, but ain't that in Febuary. Though I am pretty much in the frame of mind of hearing this will suck, one news is that they have filmed some of the fighting in Mexico, the ones playing Bulma and Chi Chi were said to be in jumpsuits and alot of people, said to be more than there is supposed to be, in orange gi's, so does that mean Roshi has more students or stuntmen? and...Bulma and Chi Chi fighting? This movie is starting to sound worse by the minute, it would be so bloody easy to stick to the original story arc if they did like a weeks decent research of the source material. Another casualty of Hollywood, wait and see, hopefully the trailer will give us an idea?

Anyways, theres my monthly essay of the subject =]. Laters.

Oh yeah, and about Goku having an education, if you read the Viz manga Dragon Ball (the first 16 volumes before Z) and at the end of which this movie seems to be based, with Piccalo being a enemy, when Goku first went and trained with Roshi and Krillen he was being given a type of education there as there was some mention of some subject, maths or something. Or with Roshi, some sort of porno related subject... But, I can remember that, and at this point before Piccalo fight he was being trained by Kami.

I'm more intrested into seeing the ki blasts, fast fighting actions and other anime style things in this movie. Sadly I do agree that it does sound like it's becoming worse and worse. I'd rather just see the trailer and gamble our luck thier to see weither it's going to be good or not. I'm starting to believe it won't.

I need to see something. I've started watching DBZ again after an AMV sparked my interest from years ago. I want something that shows what Goku will look like for the majority of the film. One thing that'll annoy me though is the clothes. If they don't get the orange Gi's right, the film is practically ruined for me...and i don't even know why, really.

Off-topic; Thinking about it; i'd much rather see a fully CG DBZ following the correct storyline. Animation thinking along the lines of Advent Children.

This would be reaching the same audience that they would already have and put off a lot that they would be going for with this movie. If they were going to animate, They might as well have just properly animated it like the old series, Or do something along the lines of Samurai X [In which I haven't seen, But the animation is always referenced]

I have actual expectations for this movie now for some reason, I think they might be able to pull something off the sort off. Even if the photos taken off-camera look like bull, I still have hope. I'm eagerly anticipating a trailer. I think they might be going for that CG-esque Speed Racer look that is somewhat bearable - But probably give you a sever headache after 90+ minutes off it.

By the way, this movie isn't called DragonBall Z. Its never been referred to as, it's only be referred to as "DragonBall". Which somewhat makes sense, since apparently FOX is adapting the Demon King Piccolo arch, which explains why Goku is a teen... I really just hope Teito is just a "set" name for Krillin(Such as BlackOut in Transformers, was originally known as Vortex), which makes sense that he only had two days worth of filming, since, Krillin is killed by one of Piccolo's henchman, Tambourine, if I remember right.

Though now, Michael Bay is suposed to be a fan of the transformers...

Bayman is apparently a big enough fan of Transformers, that he is actually writing some stuff for the sequel(due to the WGA strike in the US) which may or may not be a good thing, however is still set to be filmed in June, for a June 09 release.
