Hi.

It seems a rather nasty person called "farseer" signed up to our forums earlier this evening and started SPAMing the place with abuse. My apologies if you received some abuse from him via PM earlier (I received two myself), but rest assured he was banned as soon as possible.

Again, I hope farseer hasn't caused any distress.

How many people received a PM from this one? They must have been pretty busy in the short time they were around!

I know of four who i've talked to who recieved PMs from farseer, generally being insults, but also including "Jesus loves you!" messeges.
 
And i didn't even have time to load my troll gun...

i thought the PM might have been something interesting but it turned out to be a saddo trying to be funny. oh well...
 
Indeed, it must take a certain degree of sadness and immaturity to send such PMs and create such threads. I really don't know what motivation farseer had.
 
Sometimes things like this seem to be a practical joke that isn't funny or someone thinking they will cause a flame war, but alas they just make themselves look stupid. Not sure if that's what this was. I didn't get a PM myself, but they sound mean.
 
if you spend any length of time on the IMDB boards you'd see that level of stupidity on a regular basis! this forum has been mercifully troll-free so far though, apart from today.

The language was truly obscene, i'm not so old myself, and farseer has no right to sent abusive PMs to members who could be pretty young.

I think one of the reasons that AUKN is such a great forum is that everyone here is helpful, and contributes to discussion, creating a nice atomosphere. It's just perfect; not remote and static, but not over-crowded and full of flaming/spamming/trolling/flooding.
 
yup i got 1 but, thought it was more funny then anything else. reminded me of my completely nuts aunt, who stoped my 17 year old cusen from watching "About a boy" because the 1st part had to much " vulger swereing againt the 1 we all love" ^_^ shame would of liked to have none what u put in ur " friendly" PM back Ryo-Chan :3
 
I think you'll find they've been joining every anime forum going and posting the same "spew" on them all!
They were here and gone before I even noticed :lol:

I thought he was supposed to be messing around at first. Was he actually serious? Mwahhahahaha!!
But really, I just don't see the point. Was it supposed to actually put us off anime? Is that actually possible?

That's right. Also, people could get offended by others going on about how brill their religeon is.
 
Its really pathetic that someone had nothing better to do other than PM forum members with abusive messages. farseer deserves to be banned, the idiot.

The PM I got had nothing to do with religion. Chomolungma puts it in a way that is probably the person's real attitude. Religious I think they were not! They were just using it as a guise to rub up people up the wrong way...
