You know it's not THAT bad, besides Light looking like a typical douchebag, but then he kinda is, just more literate than your average douchebag.

FOund it on this site, but he found it on another site too so not much help.

Who are these people? L looks like Ian Somerhalder. And I still want Zac Efron to play Light. I guess they are nobodies though.

Yeah I assume just the people who made the picture as opposed to shopping real ones in. L actually looks kinda like Alessandro Juliani which is odd but there we are.

They all look a good eight to ten years older than the characters are supposed to be, plus... what the hell is with their choice for L? Did they see a completely different character when they looked at the drawings? Did the 2D image somehow rearrange itself in their mind into "Generic white male bit-player in his early 30s"?

is that Billy Kennedy from Neighbours!? Is L Cilian Murphy? No idea who the girl is. I hope they don't make the leaked script remake - Death Note minus Ryuk is just dumb

I see where you are coming from on Cillian Murphy, but no, it is definitely not him. His eyes are a cold frozen blue that eats souls.

*sigh* I don't think a live action Death note film would be the best idea ¬¬. I didn't really like the Japanese films and the though of Dragon ball evolution keeps coming into my head.

I think with a bigger budget the japanese films could've been something, it just seemed pretty B-movie ish to me...that said I'm not sure how a hollywood version would be any better, bigger budget yes, but more changes so that it will appeal to "the masses" which is a shame, because frankly I think Death Note is probably one of the easiest animes to market to a English-speaking audience.

It doesn't have too many anime cliches like massive robots or weird humour and bizarre shenanigans, and the fanservice is pretty mild too. It's basically just a thriller with 2 supernatural elements (Shinigami and the Death Note)

I managed to get my parents to watch it and they really liked it, even though they're really not into anime at all and I think because it's not so entrenched in anime culture as shows like Code Geass or Gundam are.
